Willem Laanstra has designed a magnificent model railroad layout in gauge 1 (1/32 scale) that consists of long sidings and shunting tracks for smoking steam locomotives and humming diesel locomotives. Often model railroads in 1/32 scale are not as richly detailed as HO scale layouts. But even with Willem Laanstra’s model railway layout we can discover a lot of details. Therefore, Pilentum Television has focused less on the rolling stock and more on the many beautiful details layout while filming.

In this video, we take two laps with the magnificent steam locomotive made by KM1 on Arnold’s 1/32 model train layout. We have installed the camera in a second locomotive, which runs in front of the gorgeous steam locomotive. This setup gives us the possibility to discover both the locomotive and the model railway from a very nice perspective.

In France, there is a rail transport modeling club, called “Club de Modélisme Multi-Discipline Escadrille Saint Michel”, that has focused on narrow gauge field railways of East Germany. The four rail modellers Bernard Daillan, Didier Mozer, Michel Valladeau and Jacques Royan have built a model train diorama in 1/43.5 scale depicting an East German landscape with a field railway and a Tatra streetcar tram line.
