In Budapest, the capital of Hungary, there is a small model railway shop, called “Happy Modell”, that has built a pretty nice model rail layout in HO scale for the presentation of new model trains and scale models. But very often the model railroad layout is used for playing with steam locomotives and enjoying railway operating sessions.

The subject of the miniature world is a small German town on a double-track main line. At the railroad station there are five tracks for passenger and goods trains. Nearby is a roundhouse with a railway workshop where steam locomotives are maintained. The model railway layout is designed for trains and locomotives of era II (1920-1945) and of era III (1945-1970). The details are lovingly designed, for example the antique buildings, the half-timbered houses and the green areas.

The railway was built in 2010 in three segments and has a size of 385 cm x 150 cm. The tracks are made by manufacturer Roco. While the steam locomotives are controlled by Roco Digital Controllers, the turnouts (switches or points) are operated with analogue buttons. Ernő Rakmányi, a railway enthusiast from Budapest, and the owner of the model shop made the video recordings. Finally, Markus Lenz from Pilentum Television edited this video footage and made this video presentation.
